This is our plain-language commitment to you - a promise that goes beyond legal obligation.

Our Core Promise

At ResearchCura, we handle medical and health research data - some of the most sensitive information that exists. We take that responsibility seriously. This Confidentiality Promise describes, in clear terms, exactly what we commit to doing (and not doing) with your data.

1. Your Research Data Belongs to You

The research queries, documents, datasets, and outputs you create on ResearchCura are yours. We do not claim ownership of your work. We access your data only to provide you the service you requested, and for no other purpose.

2. We Will Never Sell Your Data

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information or research data to third parties for commercial purposes. Period. Our business model is built on providing you a great service - not on monetizing your private information.

3. No Unauthorized Human Review

Your research queries and data are processed by our systems to deliver results. Our staff do not read your individual research queries or data unless:

• You explicitly request human support or review
• It is necessary to investigate a security incident or suspected misuse
• We are legally required to do so

In any case where human review occurs, we limit access to the minimum necessary personnel and log all access.

4. Health Data Handled with Extra Care

We recognize that health and medical research data is among the most sensitive data there is. We apply additional safeguards:

• Encryption of all health-related data both in transit and at rest
• Strict access controls and role-based permissions for our team
• Audit trails for any access to sensitive research datasets
• We do not process individually identifiable patient information (PHI) without a formal data processing agreement

5. We Use Trusted Partners Only

When we work with third-party service providers (e.g., cloud infrastructure, security tools), we require them to meet the same high confidentiality standards we hold ourselves to. They may only process your data to provide their specific service to us and nothing else.

6. We Will Tell You If Something Goes Wrong

In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your information, we commit to notifying you promptly - within the timeframe required by applicable law, and as quickly as practically possible. We will tell you what happened, what data was affected, and what we are doing about it.

7. You Control Your Data

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data and research history at any time by contacting us or using the account settings in the Platform. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

8. We Don't Use Your Research to Train AI Without Consent

We will not use your private research queries or uploaded data to train, fine-tune, or improve AI/ML models without your explicit, informed consent. Any such program will be strictly opt-in.

9. Transparency

We believe in being open. If our practices change in any way that affects your privacy or confidentiality, we will notify you in advance. We will never make silent changes to how we handle your data.
